A randomized placebo-controlled trial of evolocumab, a PCSK9-blocking antibody, in 27,564 statin-treated patients with cardiovascular disease. LDL cholesterol fell 59% and the primary composite event risk was lower (9.8% versus 11.3%), with few differences in adverse events.
